About the Project

As part of the INFORMAS global network, the University of Auckland conducted a study on New Zealand's current food environments. The study provides an update on the state of New Zealand’s food environments for 2018–2021 with a focus on the impact of recent government and food company polices, commitments and actions. The study assesssed the impact of:

  • Government implementation of healthy food policies
  • The impact of the Advertising Standards Authority Children and Young People’s Code on the marketing environment
  • Food and Drinks Guidelines in Council-owned leisure centres, supermarket promotions, check-outs and private labels
  • Food industry commitments

I was tasked with visualising the study findings into bright, engaging infographics. The design objectives were to create a unified design aesthetic between the executive summary and the final report to optimise reader engagement and emphasise key messages and findings through visual elements (e.g. layout, infographics, graphic elements, colour). The final deliverables included one executive summary and one final report for print and web.
